3 nights/4 days

HOTEL: Jesmond Dene House, Newcastle upon Tyne.

MEALS:  Breakfast & dinner at hotel daily         




Travel by private coach to Newcastle with a stop at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park en route.

On arrival there will be an introductory talk followed by tea & coffee and an Art & Landscape tour.

Light lunch included at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park before transferring to the hotel.

Welcome drink and dinner at the hotel.


Morning visit to Durham Cathedral with tour.

Lunch in Durham (not included). 

Return to Newcastle for afternoon visit to Trinity House on The Quayside with guided tour.

Free time to independently visit the Baltic Centre for Modern Art and The Sage Concert Hall (Foster partners)

Dinner at the hotel.


Morning visit to the Woodhorn Colliery Museum- home to the Pitman Painters.Tea/coffee on arrival+guided tour. 

Transfer to Belsay Hall for lunch.

Afternoon volunteer-led tour of Belsay Hall & guided tour of the Grade 1 listed gardens. 

Dinner at the hotel.


Check out of hotel and transfer to the Bowes Museum at Barnard Castle with guided tour and lunch.

Arrive back in Shrewsbury early evening.
