A Visit to Herefordshire
Wednesday 31 July 2019

The Sidney Nolan Trust is a centre for creative work, exploration and learning in art.

Our visit to will start with refreshments after which we will have an introductory talk about Sir Sidney Nolan, the groundbreaking Australian artist who relocated to the UK in the 50’s and moved to Rodd Court in 1983. We will have a tour of the house, the studio and gallery.

We will then transfer to Stockton Bury Gardens for lunch after which there will be a talk on the gardens created by Raymond Treasure and Gordon Fenn. The gardens have been in the Treasure family for several generations and are now managed by Tasmin Westhorpe, a successful garden journalist in her own right and great great granddaughter of the original owner of the farm who bought it in 1886. There will be free time to explore the site.
